■ Shima Colon is an accessory brand that uses "Kokura-ori," a traditional textile from Kitakyushu. Its distinctive beautiful vertical stripe pattern, perhaps due to its rich history, gives off an elegant presence even when worn casually.
Kokura-ori is a traditional textile that has been passed down in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture since the Edo period. Its characteristic double-thread weaving creates beautiful vertical stripes, and its strength is such that it is said to be so durable that a bow tip cannot pass through it. It is said that Tokugawa Ieyasu favored it as a haori (jacket) when falconry, and it has recently become famous as "Sanada-himo" (a type of braided cord).
These earrings (or piercings) feature a cute, droopy silhouette and are inspired by twisted candy. They're a popular item because of the adorable way they sway when viewed from the side.
Size: Approximately 5 cm in height. Materials: Kokura weave, brass (plated), resin.
