A tie clip version of the much-requested 72nana-tsu is now available! The inner fabric is made from traditional Kyushu textiles. Recently, more and more people are using tie clips not only for wearing ties, but also to secure name cards that hang around their necks.
Now is the time for Kyushu to unite and combine our strength!
Did you know? Due to the recent decline in kimono wearing, the traditional dyed and woven textile industry is experiencing a steady decline in both sales and production, and is also facing the serious problem of a shortage of successors. At ITOHEN, we developed this product in order to find new value in these traditional dyed and woven textiles. It is very important to hear directly from the weavers. Although traditional dyed and woven textiles are facing serious problems such as the decline in kimono wearing and the shortage of successors, everyone is working hard to preserve and pass on these good things that will be cherished for generations. We create our products hoping to contribute even a little to their efforts. The accessories are made by mothers living in Kitakyushu City, and each one is handcrafted with love, making each product a unique, one-of-a-kind item.
