ORIORINO is a pair of chopstick rests born from the Japanese concept of "four seasons" and the name of the company's daughter, "Rino".
We encase traditional textiles from all over Japan in transparent acrylic (resin), bringing the beauty of the weaving directly to your everyday dining table.
All of our textiles are authentic, sourced directly from the weavers, and each piece is meticulously and lovingly crafted by skilled artisans.

The origins of chopstick rests are said to date back to Japanese Shinto rituals around the 7th century. At Ise Grand Shrine, a tool called an "omihashidai" is also used, and chopstick rests have been nurtured within a uniquely Japanese history and style.
ORIORINO chopstick rests embody the essence of traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving. These textiles reflect the culture and traditions that have been preserved for generations, and each piece holds a story.
This piece took approximately two years from conception to production. We established a unique technique that preserves the natural colors of the fabric while making it appear as if it's floating within a transparent environment. Each piece is handcrafted by a female artisan.
These chopstick rests, which encase woven fabric in transparent resin, are the first of their kind in the world (patent pending). We use leftover fabric scraps and other materials provided by weavers, and we value manufacturing in a way that avoids wasting resources.
Therefore, no two pieces are exactly alike. Please take one in your hands, hold it up to the light, and enjoy the beauty of the textile and its unique character.
